UniFi Setup

Hotel Network & UniFi Installation

Hotel and Hospitality Network Specialists

Hotels, motels, inns and vacation-rental properties place unusual demands on a network. Guest traffic changes constantly, devices roam throughout the property, multiple buildings may need to be connected, and the same infrastructure may support front-desk systems, cameras, locks and staff operations.

Guest and Operations Networks Should Be Separate

Guest internet should not share unrestricted access with front-desk computers, cameras, property systems or staff devices. We design segmented networks using VLANs and firewall policies so each class of device has the access it needs without exposing the rest of the property.

More Bandwidth Does Not Always Fix Slow Hotel Internet

A fast internet circuit can still produce a poor guest experience when access points are overloaded, channel usage is inefficient, wireless uplinks are congested, cables are damaged or the network is poorly segmented. Troubleshooting should identify the actual bottleneck before replacing equipment.

Connecting Multiple Hotel Buildings

Where practical, fiber provides the most predictable long-term connection between buildings. Wireless point-to-point links can still be useful where trenching or fiber installation is impractical, but link quality, alignment, interference and capacity need to be considered.

Network Documentation and Ongoing Support

Hospitality properties often change managers, vendors and staff. Clear documentation of gateways, switches, uplinks, VLANs, AP locations and critical devices reduces troubleshooting time and makes future upgrades easier.

Service Area

On-site hotel network projects are available in Virginia and North Carolina, including the Outer Banks. Remote UniFi troubleshooting and configuration support is available nationwide.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can you improve an existing hotel network without replacing everything?

Often, yes. The first step is determining whether the problem is cabling, switching, AP placement, wireless design, internet capacity or configuration.

Do you support properties with multiple buildings?

Yes. We can evaluate fiber, Ethernet and wireless point-to-point options depending on distance, pathways and project constraints.

Can you provide ongoing support after installation?

Yes. Monitoring and maintenance can be provided after the project is complete.
