Why Leave Empty Rack Space?
A rack packed to 100% capacity is harder to cable, cool and expand. Leaving planned space makes future switch additions, patching and replacement work much easier.
Rack Units Do Not Tell the Whole Story
Verify the physical depth and weight of the actual UPS, NVR, server and switch hardware. Some wall-mount racks are deep enough for switches but not for large UPS or server equipment.
